Outwardly, KITAG Kino-Theater AG, which belongs to the Cinetrade Group, operates under the KITAG CINEMAS brand. It runs many cinemas in German-speaking Switzerland, giving it a total of 89 screens and around 17’000 seats in Basel, Bern, Muri/BE, Biel, Lucerne, Emmenbrücke/LU, St. Gallen, Abt-wil/SG, Winterthur and Zurich. With more than 100’000 film screenings per year, KITAG is the most influential cinema operator in German-speaking Switzerland.
