While two-time Oscar winner George Clooney is back in the director’s seat, Julianne Moore (in an eccentric double role) and Matt Damon (as a father with skeletons in the closet) return in front of the camera. And Oscar Isaac (“Star Wars,” “A Most Violent Year”) plays an insurance agent who knows much too much. Amoral machinations and secrets that threaten to leak at any moment provide the film’s turmoil and black humour. “Suburbicon” celebrates its world premiere at the 74th Venice Film Festival (due to take place this year) before continuing on to Toronto, where the film is to be featured in the prestigious TIFF.
